World Renowned Choreographer/Dancer Blanca Li Launches Pollution Dance

Dancing to raise awareness about pollution’s global toll. That is what thousands of school children around the world, as well as members of the public, will be encouraged to do on World Environment Day on June 5.

The Pollution Dance was choreographed especially by Blanca Li to invite mass participation, with an accompanying video tutorial featuring the world-renowned dancer herself demonstrating the steps so that everyone can learn the dance and post their videos to share.

UNESCO Associated Schools Network, NYC DOE Office of Arts and Special Projects, UNEP, and GAHP Secretariat Pure Earth are among the partners for the project. The Pollution Dance was created based on Li’s latest work Solstice, which is currently touring worldwide.
