Jill Hanna, Senior Advisor

Jill Hanna joined GAHP in 2018 and focuses on policy development and advocacy. Before retiring she worked for the European Commission’s Directorate General for Environment where she spent 23 years on international environmental policy including the UN Conventions dealing with chemicals and wastes and support for developing countries. Previously she had worked for the UK government on development aid including in Kenya and the Caribbean. Jill holds an MA in economics from Cambridge University.

Karti Sandilya, Senior Advisor

Karti Sandilya comes to GAHP from Pure Earth, where he has been Senior Adviser since 2004. He works on strategy development, advocacy, and fundraising with the donor community. Prior to joining Pure Earth, he specialized in strategy and policy development at Asian Development Bank (ADB), before retiring as its Resident Director in Washington, D.C. Before his ADB career, he was in the Indian foreign service, serving in Argentina, Bangladesh and Switzerland, and at headquarters in New Delhi.

Lilian Corra, Senior Advisor

Dr. Lilian Corra is a pediatrician/neonatologist who has done extensive work to raise awareness about children’s health in relation to the environment. She is the director of the Medical Specialist Program on Health and Environment at the School of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires. At GAHP, she will focus on international advocacy drawing on her connections with global aid agencies and South American governments. She also worked with Pure Earth on the Toxics Sites Identification Program in Argentina, which has, in some cases, led local authorities to halt development on contaminated sites. In 2016, she was part of a team of global experts who contributed to the World Health Organization (WHO)’s new series of children’s environmental health training modules.
